Q: When can my son join Cub Scouts?

A: Boys can join Cub Scouts upon completion of Kindergarden. Boys traditionally transition over to Boy Scouts in the Spring of their 5th Grade year. Boys can join anytime between these two times.
Q: Who can join Cub Scouts?

A: ANY boy between the ages of 7 and 11 (completed Kindergarden and completed 5th Grade) can join Cub Scouts.
Q: What does it cost to join Cub Scouts?

A: There is a $10.00 registration fee to join Cub Scouts. Parents will also need to purchase a Scout handbook and a uniform for their Scout.
Q: What kind of equipment or supplies does my son need?
A:  At minimum, each boy in Cub Scouting will need a uniform and a handbook. Each year, the handbook changes, as does the cap and neckerchief, but other uniform parts remain the same for at least the first three years. When a boy enters a Webelos den, he will need to obtain the khaki-and-olive uniform that he will also wear as a Boy Scout. Boys/families also need camping equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, flashlights, etc.. The Pack also sells a very inexpensive Pack Tee Shirt that is great for camping, "arts and crafts" that could potentially ruin the regular uniform shirt and also as a "uniform substitute" until parents can get their son a uniform. A complete list of uniform items as well as recommended camping equipment is available from Pack leaders.

Q: Are Cub Scouts the same as Boy Scouts?

A:  Cub Scouting is a program of the Boy Scouts of America—so in that sense, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts are both members of the same organization. However, they are entirely different programs: Cub Scouting is a family-oriented program designed specifically to address the needs of younger boys.

Q: Do Cub Scouts go camping?

A: You bet we do! And we have a great time doing it!
Q: Do we have to be a member of the church to join Cub Scouts?

A: No, but if you do not have a church home we hope you would consider making us your church home.
