One of the first events on our Scouting agenda is fund raising so we have sufficient funds for activities, awards, etc. through the year. To do this, Scouts sell delicious Trail’s End Popcorn. Our popcorn sales take two forms: Show & Sell and Take-Order. Show & Sell is where we set-up booths and sell popcorn that we have on hand. Take-Order is where the boys go out with an adult and take orders on an order sheet for a variety of popcorn types. Most of our operating funds come from these popcorn sales so it is VERY important that everyone participate to the fullest extent possible in BOTH aspects - Show & Sell AND Take Order.

This year we are on a very compressed time-table for Show & Sell. We basically have until the end of September to finish Show & Sell. That means for two weekends we will be manning booths at one of four locations to sell popcorn. We need everyone to help sell for a couple hours at least one of the weekends. We pair older experienced Scouts (& parents) with younger Scouts so they can learn from the “pros”. We will have sign-up sheets for day, locations and times.

The sales dates, times and locations are below. The primary day for the Popcorn Sales will be Saturday, September 15th. We have Saturday, September 22nd as a back-up in case we have popcorn left over. Please review the dates and times and coordinate with your den leaders to sign up for at least one time slot.
